Using CyberLink products with Windows 11 2022 Update (version 22H2)
If you have enabled "Smart App Control (SAC)" in the Windows 11 2022 update (version 22H2), CyberLink software installation might inadvertently be blocked.
Please note that SAC is an optional machine intelligent security function in the new Windows 11 OS that might interrupt the normal program processes of installing other software in the system. It is not relevant to the functionality of any malware and virus protection features in any antivirus or Internet security software you might install.
CyberLink's engineering team scan our programs by using a variety of antivirus software (e.g., Norton, Microsoft Defender, etc.) prior to every new version release to ensure the security of our software.
Our software products are also verified and come with appropriate security certificates issued by 3rd-party security vendors to ensure the security compatibility on Windows platforms.
However, this installation blocking condition cannot be resolved by changing or modifying the program codes in CyberLink software solely, because the blocking comes externally from the Windows OS.
To install our software and run its functions properly without unexpected blocking, we suggest you set "Smart App Control (SAC)" to "OFF" and then try installing our software again to resolve the installation blocking issues.
What is Smart App Control (SAC)?
If you have some security concerns regarding turning off this SAC option in the Windows OS, we suggest you consult the developer of the feature (Microsoft) for further technical assistance.
