Mount Rainier

Mount Rainier is a standard that provides background formatting and defect management for storage on CD-RW. When the disc is inserted into the drive, the minimum required space is formatted, so the disc can be used without delay; about one minute. The rest of the disc is formatted in the background when it is not being used.
