What is "DV QuickScan", what can it do for me ?

This unique new feature helps users easily preview their pre-captured camcorder video files in a very short time. An entire DV Tape can be previewed at up to 6x the normal speed. Individual video clips are created at points where the camera was stopped, making it easier to select only the scenes the user wants.

DV QuickScan allows indexing DV contents before the content is captured to hard disk.
It can easily select and capture desired video segments without manually positioning the tape.
