What features are not available in VR Mode in CyberLink PowerDVD 17 or later versions?

To ensure the best playback compatibility with VR headsets, and comply with the VR headset capability, the following features are not available in VR Mode:

  1. Movie disc/disc folder/ISO playback (e.g. Blu-ray/DVD movies, etc.)
  2. HDR 10 Video viewing (The video will be played as SDR in your VR headset.)
  3. TrueTheater enhancement
  4. CyberLink Cloud streaming
  5. Media Casting
  6. Home Media (DLNA) feature1
  7. Dual subtitles
  8. Pan & Zoom
  9. Other miscellaneous features, which are not available to control in VR headset.

 

The following features that are supported in the PC mode since PowerDVD 18, are not supported in the VR mode:

  1. Mini View
  2. YouTube Live Video
  3. YouTube subtitle playback

 

The following feature that is supported in the PC mode since PowerDVD 19, are not supported in the VR mode:

  1. 8K video playback

 

The following feature that is supported in the PC mode since PowerDVD 20, are not supported in the VR mode:

  1. Media Library sharing on Home Network (LAN)

 

The following features that are supported in the PC mode since PowerDVD 23, are not supported in the VR mode:

  1. AI Karaoke Mode
  2. GPU Video Super Resolution

 

PowerDVD's PC Mode has the full playback features of PowerDVD. Try switching to PC Mode if you can't find a feature you are looking for in VR Mode.

  1. Home Media (DLNA) feature has been removed since PowerDVD 20 and you can refer to the related articles below for further information.
