- Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required files.
- Error: Can't load SKUtil.dll.
- Error: Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid.
Solution
You should use correct version of CLCleaner to resolve installation problems. Follow the below guideline to determine which version of CLCleaner you should use.
Scenario 1: You fail to install "patch version"of ColorDirector, then you should use CLCleaner-ColorDirector_1.0.

How do I use CyberLink Cleaner Tool?
The following steps guide you on how to use the CyberLink Cleaner Tool that can help resolve CyberLink program installation issues.
- Uninstall your CyberLink program from Control Panel before using the cleaner tool.
- Windows XP: uninstall via Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
- Windows Vista or Windows 7: uninstall via Control Panel> Programs> Programs And Features
Note: Skip this step if you have encountered error while un-installation.
- Unzip the downloaded CLCleaner-ColorDirector _1.0.zip.
- Double click on CLCleaner-ColorDirector _1.0.exe to run the tool.
- Restart your system.
- Reinstall the CyberLink program.
Note: The CyberLink Cleaner Tool does not entirely remove a CyberLink program, but helps resolve the installation issues.
If the CLCleaner still cannot solve your issue, continue with the following troubleshooting steps:
- Remove CyberLink ColorDirector from Control Panel:
1. Quit the ColorDirector programs, if it is running.
2. In Control Panel, open Add or Remove Programs.
3. Select ColorDirector from the list of currently installed programs, then click Remove.
4. After the uninstallation is complete, restart your computer.
- Or manually remove CyberLink ColorDirector folder from Programe Files:
1. Go to C:\Program Files\CyberLink\
2. Delete the ColorDirector folder.
3. If you can't not delete the folder, try the following steps:
a. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc at the same time to call out Task Manager
b. Switch to Process tab
c. Delete related processes which are running in the background.
For example: Process for ColorDirector may be called ColorDirectorAgent.exe, ColorDirectorServ.exe, CLMSServerForCDR.exe...etc.
d. Go back to C:\Program Files\CyberLink\
e. And delete the ColorDirector folder again.
4. Restart your computer.
5. Reinstall CyberLink ColorDirector.
