How do I trim and convert videos in CyberLink PowerDVD 22/23?

CyberLink PowerDVD 22/23 supports the Trim and Convert feature that lets you trim and convert videos in your media collection in just a few clicks.

To trim and convert videos, do this:

  1. Browse the videos that you imported into the PowerDVD media library (e.g., Movies, Video Library), or in the My Computer file browser within the PowerDVD.
  2. Right click on the media files in the library or file list, and then select Trim and Convert.
  3. Click and drag the start and end markers on the video preview time bar to mark the range you would like to trim and keep in the video. If you don't want to trim the video but only convert the video, you can skip this step.
  4. Select the Export to option as Video or Audio only if you would like to convert the video or you would just like to extract and convert audio from the video per your need.
  5. Click Browse to select or change the folder path where you would like to save the converted video if required.
  6. Select the conversion format you prefer in the Quality settings.
  7. Click Convert to start the conversion.

After the file conversion is complete, your trimmed/converted video will be in the export folder you selected in step 5.

Note

  1. Blu-ray/DVD-Video, disk images (ISO), and disc folders, and 360° video files are not supported in the Trim and Convert feature.
  2. The maximum resolution that the Trim and Convert tool supports is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. So, if you'd like to convert higher resolution (e.g., 4K or 8K) videos in PowerDVD, the maximum resolution available for the conversion is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.
  3. To trim and convert your media files into the MP3 audio format in PowerDVD, you require Windows 10 or above OS version. If your Windows OS is still the earlier Windows 7/8 version, please upgrade your OS to Windows 10 or above version as the solution.
