The Theme Designer, Particle Designer, and AI Style Plugin features have been removed in the new CyberLink PowerDirector 2026/365 version (released in Apr. 2026). What can I do?

In the past few years, the usage rate of the Theme Designer, Particle Designer, and AI Style Plugin features have gradually declined.

As CyberLink continues to develop new editing features and adjust the user interface to adapt to each new PowerDirector version, it has become increasingly challenging to maintain support for these legacy functions. Therefore, we have decided to remove the Theme Designer, Particle Designer, and AI Style Plugin features from PowerDirector starting in April 2026.

．Theme Designer:
You can use the new Auto Edit tool or video templates from the Templates room to quickly arrange your media clips on the timeline for your video projects.

To streamline the process of adding particle overlay clips from the Overlays room to the timeline, the advanced designer tool for these clips has been removed.

To transform your videos into different visual styles, you may use the GenAI > AI Anime tool, or apply LUTs and Filters available in the Effects room. These tools require fewer CPU and GPU resources and are less dependent on your hardware.

We understand that the design and experience of these new or alternative tools may differ from the removed features. However, this change allows us to redirect resources toward expanding style editing and AI-powered features in future versions of CyberLink software.
