Which media file formats does CyberLink PowerDVD 16 support for casting to a streaming device?

CyberLink PowerDVD16 supports the following media file formats for casting to a streaming device (Chromecast/Apple TV/Roku):

Video casting formats: 3G2, 3GP, 3GP2, 3GPP, ASF, AVI,  DAT, DIV, DIVX, DVR-MS, FLV, M2P, M2T, M2TS, M4V, MKV, MOD, MOV, MP4, MP4V, MPE, MPEG, MPG, MPV, MTS, MVC, QT, TOD, TP, TPD, TRP, TS, TTS, VOB, VRO, WM, WMV, WTV.

Audio casting formats: APE, FLAC, M4A (AAC, ALAC codec), MP3, OGG, WAV.

Photo casting formats: ARW, BMP, CR2, CRW, DCR, DNG, ERF, JPG, JPEG, JPS, KDC, MEF, MPO, MRW, NEF, ORF, PEF, PNG, RAF, RAW, RW2, SR2, SRF, TIF, TIFF, X3F.

External Subtitle file formats: ASS, PSB, SSA, SMI, SRT, SUB.

 

 

Note:

  1. Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, movie folders, and ISO files cannot be cast to streaming devices.
  2. H.265 video codec supported for MKV, MP4, M2TS video files only.
  3. Embedded subtitles are not supported due to limitations of the streaming devices.
  4. To have better playback compatibility with streaming devices, 5.1 channel audio or above is downmixed to 2 channel during media casting.
