How do I add backdrops to subtitles or modify subtitle properties in CyberLink PowerDirector 365?
In the new version of PowerDirector 365 (released after Aug. 2025), the Subtitles room now supports a new Properties section to help users adjust subtitle properties, such as adding backdrop or changing text color, etc.
To do so, please follow the steps below:
- Go to Subtitles Room and then use apply Speech to Text feature or create subtitles manually.
- (Multi-)select subtitles in the Subtitles Room or on the timeline.
- Go to Properties section where you can modify the text properties further.
- Or, go to the Style section to apply subtitle presets directly if needed.
