What are the differences between PowerDVD copy and the disc copy function in Power2Go?

PowerDVD Copy is a specialized program for copying DVD movies. Most DVD movies are recorded on Double-Layer DVD discs. A Double-Layer DVD disc holds twice as much data as a normal blank DVD disc. In most cases, you cannot simply use a disc copy application to copy a DVD movie, as the contents will not fit onto a normal blank disc. PowerDVD Copy enables you to reduce the size of the source DVD movie content by compressing the video with a slightly lower bit rate. Therefore you are able to fit a Double-Layer DVD movie content onto a Single-Layer blank DVD disc. You cannot use PowerDVD Copy to copy music CDs or data DVD discs.

Power2Go is a disc-burning program for burning video/photo discs, music discs, data discs, and even bootable discs. The disc copy function of Power2Go is for copying a source disc to an identical duplicated disc. For example, you can use Power2Go to copy a music CD onto a blank CD-R disc and you can also use it to copy a Single-Layer data DVD onto a Single-Layer blank DVD disc, but you cannot use Power2Go to copy a Double-Layer DVD onto a Single-Layer DVD disc.
