I want to backup / copy a DVD but the program take a long time reading the disc. What can I do?

First, you need to check if the DVD you want to copy/backup is CSS (Content Scrambling System) protected or not. PowerDVD Copy cannot copy DVDs if the source disc is CSS encrypted. Try using other DVD that you know does not contain CSS encryption.

 

It you face the same issue with all DVDs then please update the firmware of your DVD drive/burner from it's manufacturer. Try to access a DVD in the drive to identify whether the drive is accessible or not. If it is not accessible then you must contact the drive manufacturer or hardware vendor for more assistance.

 

If your problem persist, please use "printsceeen" to capture an image of the message on your screen and also provide us with the title of the DVD you want to copy/backup. You will need to add this information to the technical form when you fill in in and send it to us.
