Do I need to have PowerDVD pre-installed, in order to install PowerDVD Copy?

No, you don't. PowerDVD Copy is not a plug-in program for PowerDVD. You need only to install PowerDVD Copy to copy DVD movies.

PowerDVD Copy requires Microsoft DirectX 9.0b (or later versions) runtime library installed on your system. The PowerDVD Copy setup program will automatically install the DirectX 9 runtime library from the installation CD-ROM. However, if you purchased the Internet download version, or are using the free trial version, you need to download this module from the Microsoft Web site or from other Web locations.
