Should I use a DVD+R disc or a DVD-R disc?

PowerDVD Copy fully supports both DVD+R discs and DVD-R discs (pronounced DVD "plus" R discs and DVD "dash" R discs). Both a DVD+R disc and a DVD-R disc can be read in a standard computer DVD-ROM and played with a standalone DVD player. They also have similar compatibilities. You can choose to either use a DVD+R disc or a DVD-R disc to copy a DVD movie as long as your DVD burner supports it. Please note that DVD+R burners only write DVD+R discs and DVD-R burners only write DVD-R discs. See the owner's manual of your DVD burner to find out what media your burner supports. There are some more recent dual DVD formats burner models that can burn both DVD+R discs and DVD-R discs.
