The 3D video projects, Storyboard mode, and the SVRT track tab have been removed in the new CyberLink PowerDirector 2024/365 version (released in Nov. 2023). What can I do?

In the past few years, the usage rate of the 3D video editing and production, Storyboard mode, the SVRT track, and the required technical support from related software and hardware companies have gradually declined or directly ceased.

While CyberLink keeps developing new editing features and adjusting the UI to adapt to every new change between PowerDirector versions, it has been challenging for CyberLink to keep supporting the mentioned functions in PowerDirector. Because of this, we have decided to remove the 3D video editing and production, Storyboard mode, and SVRT track display in PowerDirector as of Nov. 2023.

  • For the Storyboard mode removal, you are advised to use the full-featured editing timeline, where you can edit multiple tracks in your PowerDirector video projects.
  • For the SVRT feature, it is not removed and still supported in the Export page to help you produce your video projects.

You can click on the Profile Analyzer button to select a Best Matched Format as the export profile first, and the SVRT option will be select-able if and only if the editing you made in the video project and the export profile you selected do not require additional video re-encoding on the export in PowerDirector.

The SVRT track display on timeline was removed.
  • For the 3D video editing and production, we suggest you look for other 3D video editing solutions on PC platforms to edit 3D videos.
