How do I adjust the preview window layout settings in CyberLink PowerDirector 365?
In the new version of PowerDirector 365 (released in Mar. 2024), PowerDirector 365 supports the "Layout" button
in lower-right corner of the preview window, allowing you to switch among three modes: Landscape, Portrait, and Floating.
- Landscape: The original style of the preview window.
- Portrait: Ideal for creating vertical (9:16) videos.
- Floating: Undock the preview window as an independent panel.
When you drag a 9:16 media clip to the timeline of a 16:9 aspect ratio project, a pop-up dialog will display to remind you about the aspect ratio inconsistency between the media clip and the video project. You can click OK to switch to Portrait mode to preview in a vertical window directly.
Note:
- If you select Landscape or Portrait mode in "Layout" while you have undocked any window (e.g., preview window, timeline, etc.), all the windows will be docked accordingly.
