How do I use the Background Remover feature to remove the background from my video clips in CyberLink PowerDirector 365?

In the new version of PowerDirector 365 (released in Nov. 2023), the Background Remover was added to help you remove the video background behind the human figures in your video clips and images.

To use this feature, please do this:

1. Add a video clip to timeline.
2. Double click on the video clip, and then click the Background Remover tool in the Edit > Video > Tools panel.
3. Select the AI Background Remover option.
4. The tool will automatically detect the person/figure¹ in your video and then remove the background without manual selection. It might take some time to process the removal in PowerDirector depending on your video's resolution and length.
5. You can use the available options to blur the removed background area, or leave it as transparent ², allowing you to reveal other media in the background, if required. 

Note:

1. The AI Background Remover feature does not support removing the background in video clips that do not contain people detected in the videos by the AI engine.
2. PowerDirector does not support exporting videos with a transparent background. If there are no objects that fill in the transparent area on your video project's timeline, the transparent background will be exported in a solid black color in the produced video.
