Why can't PowerCinema work with my TV Tuner card?
If you did not use Medion's TV-Tuner card, then you have to check your TV-Tuner card driver first.
If it comes with VFW drivers then PowerCinema cannot support this TV tuner card. You can try to visit this TV-Tuner card WDM drivers via your TV tuner card vendors web site if the TV tuner card is compliant to WDM standards.
If it comes with WDM drivers, please check whether you have setup driver correctly in PC.
What is WDM and VFW? WDM (Windows Driver Model) and VFW (Video for Windows) are APIs (Application Programming Interface) that allow multi-media device vendors, such as video capture card and TV Tuner Card, to write drivers for enabling these cards with Windows. But WDM is a newer and more efficient API. It supports WinXP/Win2000/WinME/Win98SE/Win98. However VFW drivers only support Win98/Win98SE. Since WDM offers better stability, it only has about 20~30% CPU consumption, but VFW occupies about 50~60%. Therefore, if you get a card with both WDM and VFW drivers, it would be better to choose WDM to setup in Windows.
