How do I trim videos and create DVD menu thumbnails?

To trim videos in Power2Go 5 you need to select Video/Photo disc as your burning task. Then import the video files you want to work with by clicking the !￥+!| sign.

 

Once you have your files, select the particular file you want to trim by clicking on it once (double-clicking it will launch it in the preview window). After clicking it, the Video Trim button will become active; click it. In the Video Trim window you will see "Mark In", !"Mark Out" and "Set Thumbnail".

 

The part between a "Mark In" and "Mark Out" will be highlighted in yellow and will be included in your finished video. The only drawback with this feature is that you won!|t be able to view it until it is burned onto a disc.

 

Also, with the "Set Thumbnail" button, you can select any part of the video and take a snapshot by clicking it. This is especially useful for home video where the first frame may be black. The thumbnail will appear as a clickable picture on the DVD menu to launch the video.
