What can I do if the Cyberkink PhotoDirector program does not launch?

 

Symptom

CyberLink PhotoDirector doesn’t start up as expected.

Solution

There are many reasons that could cause this issue. Please try one or both of the following:

• Ensure you have tried all the suggestions listed in the below article.
  What can I do when CyberLink PhotoDirector freezes, crashes, hangs, or closes unexpectedly?
  These suggestions will help you determine if the problem is being caused by basic system settings.

• Try steps to determine if the problem is being caused by a project.

1. Go to your project folder.
   
   
2. Back up the project anywhere you like and then delete the original project. For example move the folder to the D drive.
3. Launch CyberLink PhotoDirector again. If you see the message below, click Create New.
   
4. Move the backed up .phd file into the newly created folder.
