Why can't I import or export videos with DTS audio in PowerDirector365?
Due to declining usage and lack of support from software and hardware companies, we have decided to remove the DTS audio (both import and export) feature and migrate the support of surround sound audio to AAC 5.1 format in new versions of PowerDirector. We are pleased to announce that new versions of PowerDirector 20/365 (released after Sept. 2021) now include the AAC 5.1 audio format for video file production.
If you’d like to import video files that contain DTS audio, please consult your video content provider to acquire video content that is not encoded with DTS audio format, or transcode the videos with AAC or LPCM audio format before importing into PowerDirector.
For PowerDirector 365 subscribers that have a previous version installed, you can continue using the DTS audio feature until your subscription expires or by not applying the new version update released in 2021 September.
