How can I create a VCD that can be played on a VCD/DVD player at home?

To create a VCD, you will need to consider the following points:

(a) You must use the MPEG VCD (NTSC) or MPEG VCD (PAL) recording profile.

(b) You must use a VCD creator software (Authoring Tools) to create a VCD that can be played on a VCD or DVD player at home.

(c)Before recording, first select an "MPEG Profile" for the VCD recording, and then try to select the format with the highest quality according to your PC's CPU power. If the CPU's processing speed is between 300 to 400MHz, please use a high speed VCD profile so that you obtain a smoother picture. Since in general VCD file extension name is ".dat", if you play a movie recorded by PowerVCR on a general VCD player at home, you must use an authoring tool (CD creating software) to convert the "*.mpg" file into the "*.dat" file and then you can create VCD via CD-R/CD-RW.
