I have an AMD Radeon graphics card with the latest driver, but Enable hardware encoding is grayed out. Why?

For AMD graphic cards you need to install the additional package “Avivo” to enable AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing.  You can download this package from the AMD website: http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx.
