How can I create a custom profile for converting video files?
To create and use your own custom profile for converting videos, do this:
- Select Convert on the MediaShow 5.0 launcher window.
- Select all of the imported videos in the MediaShow 5.0 window that you want to convert.
- Click on the Other Formats button.
- Click on Custom Profiles and then click on New to open the Custom window.
- Enter a Profile name for the custom profile in the field provided.
- Select the file format for the converted file from the Format drop-down menu.
- Select the preferred resolution and aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9) for the file from the Resolution drop-down menu. If you select Smart Fit, MediaShow 5.0 will automatically select the best resolution and aspect ratio for you.
- If applicable, select the audio compression you want applied to the video's audio from the Format drop-down menu.
- If applicable, select the audio compression rate or quality of the video's audio from the Bitrate drop-down menu.
- Click OK to return to the Convert window.
- If you are only converting one file, enter a name for the converted file.
- If required, click on Browser button to select a different output folder for the converted file.
- If your computer supports CUDA technology, select Enable CUDA to maximize performance to reduce the time it takes to convert your video file.
- Click OK to start the conversion. MediaShow 5.0 will convert all the selected files and output them to the specified output folder.
- Click OK to return to the MediaShow 5.0 main window.
Note: After you convert the video files, MediaShow5.0 will save the custom profile you created so you can use it the next time you want to convert video files. It will be available within Custom Profiles.
