How do I use the Light Effects feature in CyberLink ColorDirector 9 or later versions?

CyberLink ColorDirector 9 or later versions support the adding of various types of light effects (Directional Light Rays, Single Source Light Rays, Lens Flare, Light Leak) to decorate your videos.

To use the Light Effect features, please do this:

1. Add your videos to storyboard.
2. Select the Effect tab, and then click the Light Effect feature on the Effect panel.
3. Select one of the light effects you would like to add in your videos:
• Glow¹: Add glow effect to the brighter areas of the video clip.
• Light Hits¹: Add light hits effect to the video clip.
• Directional Light Rays: Adds light rays in a video clip that emanate in parallel from all the light sources in the video image.
• Single Source Light Rays: Adds light rays in a video clip that emanate from a selected point in the video image.
• Sparkle²: Add sparkle effect to the video clip.
• Lens Flare: Adds lens flare effect to the video clip.
• Light Leak: Applies an effect that gives the impression of light being leaked onto film.
4. Adjust the attributes (e.g. Intensity, Position, Size, etc.) of the light effect you selected to customize the light rays, if required.
5. Open the keyframe settings panel to add keyframes that make the effect level change dynamically in the videos, if required.
6. Select the Production tab to produce your video with the added light effects.

Note:

1. The Glow and Light Hits effects are available in CyberLink ColorDirector 11 and later versions.
2. The Sparkle effect is available in CyberLink ColorDirector 10 and later versions.
