How to burn a video disc?
To burn a video disc in MakeDVD, please follow the steps outlined below.
On the main menu select Videos and on the 'Select Videos' screen you can add videos from 'My Videos', 'Recorded TV' or from 'More Videos'. To preview a video before selecting it, click on its title (the bar with the title on it will change to orange when you move your mouse over it). To close the preview window, simply click the stop button on the playback panel or close the window by clicking 'X'. When you're sure this is the correct video, select it by putting a check in the check-box next to the video.
When you are done selecting videos, click on the Author and Burn button. On the Author and Burn page, you have the following options: View Selected, Name Disc, Select Menu, Burn to Disc and Settings.
With the 'View Selected' highlighted, you are able to view all the videos you have selected, and you may change their order by using the re-order arrow on the UI.
By clicking the 'Name Disc' button, you may enter the name for the disc by using your regular keyboard or by using the Virtual Keyboard. The latter is mainly to be used with the CyberLink remote controller which can be purchased separately. Press the 'Enter' key to finalize the name.
Next, you may want to add a template from the 'Select Menu' page. Here you can find templates to fit most occasions from Family, Party, Romance, Sports and Travel. Each of these include 4 or 5 templates totaling 21 templates in all. More templates can be downloaded from our website.
Before burning your disc, we recommend that you go to the Settings page to ensure the output format is correct. It would be a shame to do all this work, and then burn a disc with the wrong settings. On the Settings page you can choose Disc Format, Video Quality, Video Format, Audio Format, Select Working Folder and Select Burner. Once you're happy with your settings, click 'Apply' to go back to the Author and Burn page.
Now, all you have to do is to insert a blank disc, click Burn to Disc and confirm by answer 'Yes' on the Information screen.
...Happy Burning!
