What can I do when my recorded gaming video is just a black screen during playback?
Symptom:
My recorded gaming video is just a black screen during playback. No game screen can be recorded.
Solution:
Scenario 1: Your GPU driver is not up-to-date with the latest graphics compatibility between the game and screen recording software.
Please download and install the latest drivers from the AMD / NVIDIA / Intel’s websites for your GPU model.
Scenario 2: Your game requires an app with high system administrator privileges to record the game screen.
Please right click on the Screen Recorder's desktop icon, and then select Run as administrator to launch Screen Recorder.
Select a recording mode, and then start game recording.
Scenario 3: The game's graphics setting is not compliant with Screen Recorder.
Please change the Graphics API(Application Programming Interface) of games to OpenGL or Direct3D. This option should be found under the game settings menu.
Scenario 4: The game is not supported by CyberLink Screen Recorder currently.
Please refer to the supported games list in this FAQ. If your game is not on the list, please feel free to contact CyberLink Customer Service to suggest a new game support.
If the condition persists, or your scenario is not mentioned in the above suggestions, please contact CyberLink Customer Support.
