How do I use the Auto Edit feature to generate videos in CyberLink PowerDirector 365?

PowerDirector 365 (version released after May 2025) supports the Auto Edit feature to create the highlights from your video and image collection automatically with the AI technology.

To use the feature, do this:

1. In the program launcher, select Auto Edit.
2. In the feature window, import between 1 to 100 videos and images. The total duration cannot exceed 3 hours and 20 minutes. You can change the order of the clips if needed.
3. Select the aspect ratio (16:9, 9:16), video length, and the theme for the resulting video.
4. Click Create to start the creation process. The program analyzes your content and creates the highlights from them. The longer the duration of the imported clips, the longer the creation process takes.
5. After the creation process is complete, the AI-edited result will show in the feature window and is divided into multiple scenes below the preview window. The audio of your source files is muted by dDefault in the auto-edited video.
6. For post-generation editing (if needed), you can select a different template to create a more vivid video, or replace, crop, rotate, select range for each scene, and unmute¹ each scene with the Unmute Video Audio button.
7. Export or add the result video to the timeline².

Note: 

1. If you apply a template for the auto-edited video and unmute the scenes, those scenes will contain both the audio of your source files (higher volume) and the background music of the audio from the template (lower volume).
2. For Essential version users, the Add to timeline option is not available, and the exported video still contains a watermark.
