Why can't I import files in CyberLink AudioDirector?

 

Symptom

When you attempt to import a file into CyberLink AudioDirector, you may receive this error message:

"An error occurred while opening this file in the media library. It may be because the file is broken or is an unsupported format. Try contacting your video provider for a different video format."

Solution

The media file you imported may not fully comply with the industry’s mainstream standard format. Sometimes it may also be due to a codec conflict if you have installed 3rd party codec pack. Try the following:

1. Update Windows Media Player to latest version.
2. Update QuickTime software to latest version.
3. Remove or diable all third party codecs if any are installed.
4. Try to convert it to another media format before importing into CyberLink AudioDirector.
