How do I use the AI Video Generator feature to generate videos in CyberLink PowerDirector 365 for Mac?
PowerDirector 365 for Mac (version released after May 2025) supports the AI Video Generator feature for you to generate short videos from text or images.
To use the feature, do this:
- Go to the Media room, and then click AI Video Generator to open the feature window.
- In the AI Video Generator window, you can either use a template or an image + text to generate the video you want.
- Select Standard (720p) or Professional (1080p) mode. The credit consumption differs depending on the mode you select.
- Select the duration (5 or 10 seconds) and the aspect ratio (16:9, 9:16, and 1:1)1 of the generated video.
- Click Generate to start the generation process. The feature consumes credits per video generation2. You can generate a video once. The longer generated video is, the longer the generation process takes.
- After the generation process is complete, you can find the generated video3 in the AI Video Generator window and My GenAI Creations4. Generated video format: H.264, 24fps, MP4.
- Preview, delete or download the video to the local hard drive and the Media room if needed.
- If you use 2 solo photos under the Template tag to generate your video, the aspect ratio of the generated video will be automatically fixed to 1:1.
- AI Video Generator is a credit-based feature. It consumes credits for the video generation. Re-generation also consumes credits. If your current credits are insufficient, you can click the Get Credits button in the feature window to purchase additional credits.
- For videos that are edited or generated with AI related features, they belong to users. For more details, please refer to "What can I do and not do with the works produced with PowerDirector, PhotoDirector and Promeo? Can I use the works for commercial purpose?" in the related articles section.
